The 1.5 kilometer gorge in the west of Crete. Its fall is 300 meters. It starts at an altitude of 450 m above sea level in the village of Strovles and ends at an altitude of 150 m above sea level in Topolia. The steepest part of the gorge is the steepest, where it is narrow and winding. Lush vegetation covers the slopes, and the River Tyflos flows below. A popular walking trail leads along the bottom of the gorge.
