National Historical Museum

The museum introduces the history of Greece from the fall of the Byzantine Empire to World War II. The main emphasis was placed on the Greeks' struggle for independence in the nineteenth century and the creation of a modern state. At exhibitions you can see weapons, uniforms, documents, paintings and sculptures, everyday objects, ceramics and a collection of traditional costumes from various regions of Greece.
