Triumphal arch built in 131 AD on the order of Emperor Hadrian. He was part of the plan for the great expansion of Athens. It marked the border of the old ancient city and new Roman districts. It is a two-story stone building. In the lower part there is a vaulted passage surrounded by pilasters. Above are four columns supporting the cornice and tympanum.
