Scheidegg is a tourist and spa town in the Alps. It is a center of active recreation and hydrotherapy, and the area is perfect for mountain trips.

The town is mentioned for the first time in the 13th century as the property of the town of Weiler. It was an agricultural and craft settlement and was located on the outskirts of the economic life of the region. The changes were not brought about until the beginning of the 20th century, when springs of thermal and mineral waters were discovered in the vicinity, on the basis of which the spa was built.

Currently, Scheidegg is a licensed health resort that applies treatments according to the guidelines of Sebastian Kneipp, a Bavarian priest and promoter of belneology. There are sanatoriums and healing facilities, as well as spa centers and swimming pools at guesthouses and hotels.

Apart from the thermal waters, the biggest attraction of Scheidegg is the Skywalk Allgau park, where there is a footbridge in the treetops leading to the lookout tower. There are also many attractions for children and adults, including Ferris mills and roller coasters.

In the vicinity of Scheidegg, summer and winter active tourism is possible. There are many hiking trails that lead to scenic hills. The Scheidegger Falls are a popular destination for walks. In winter, you can ski here and go skiing in a small ski station.
