Rødby is a town on the island of Lolland. In its vicinity there is a port with a ferry dock. There is also a large Lalandia water park and wild, picturesque beaches.
The city has a long history dating back to medieval times. However, not many monuments have survived here, apart from a gothic church and a few merchant houses. Most of the buildings are modern, and tourists are mainly attracted by the water park and beaches.
Lalandia in Rødby is a family attraction that draws crowds of tourists to the city especially in summer. The sandy beaches of Kramnitse and Rødbyhavn are also available. They are only partially developed, and you can rest on your own in most of the area. The first one is Kramnitze Harbor, where mainly colorful fishing boats are moored, while the second one is located near the ferry port.
The surroundings of Rødby are very picturesque and allow for long walks. One of their targets is the Saksfjed-Hyllekrog spit with swamps and lakes. On its edge is the Hyllekrog lighthouse.
