The Gothic cathedral was originally part of an abbey founded in the early 15th century. The oldest part of the temple is most likely from 1416. In the bright, spacious interior, it is worth paying attention to the Baroque altar from 1641 with paintings depicting the Last Supper, Christ in the Olive Garden and the Resurrection.
In the side part of the church there is an altar from the end of the 15th century with a painting of the Virgin Mary or St. Brigid. It is believed to be one of the oldest canvas paintings in Scandinavia.
Other monuments include the 18th-century baptismal font made of sandstone, decorated with bas-reliefs depicting the four Evangelists, and the late Renaissance pulpit, also decorated with images of the Evangelists and Christ.
