Hvide Sande is a resort town on the North Sea. It is known for its sandy beach and excellent conditions for windsurfing.
The village, whose name means "White Sand", is situated on the Holmsland Klint spit that separates Ringkøbing Fjord from the North Sea. A wide, sandy beach stretches along the shore, divided into sections such as Bjerreborg Beach, Skdbjerge Beach, Bjerregard Nordsee Beach and Hvine Sande Syd Beach. From the land side, they are limited by sand dunes, the most famous of which is the Tingodden Dune.
The beaches are the greatest attraction of Hvide Sande, not only because of the possibility of relaxing by the sea, but also excellent conditions for windsurfing. In addition, the area is conducive to walks, incl. to the South Pier or the Lyngvig Lighthouse. There is also a partially ruined former German bunker on Troldbjerg and a historic fisherman's hut nearby.
