BILLUND tourist attractions

+8 attractions

Billund is Denmark's most famous family entertainment center. Although it is associated primarily with Legoland and the headquarters of the Lego company, there are also other attractions that help you spend time actively with children.

The town has existed since the Middle Ages, but for centuries it was primarily a local trade and craft center. The changes came only at the beginning of the 20th century, when Ole Kirk Christiansen founded a furniture factory here. With time, he also started producing toys, and in 1932 he named his factory Lego. Today it is one of the most recognizable pad manufacturers in the world.

Billund's biggest attraction is Legoland, a theme park dedicated to Lego bricks. It is a family-run amusement park, with blocks created to create numerous worlds in which you can use interactive attractions. There is also the Legoland Holiday Village, in which there are not only summer houses, but also places for family recreation, themed rooms and game stands. The company also runs the Lego Idea House, an interactive educational center where you can learn physics, mechanics, astronomy and other fields through play.

There are many other family attractions around Legoland and the Lego factory, which can be visited with a guide. There are, among others Adventure Park Wow with rope routes, theme paths and outdoor exercise areas, the Aquadome Billund water park and the Teddy Bear Art Museum. A great place for walks is the Billund Sculpture Park, which allows you to be in close contact with nature and art.
