Kapitel place

The baroque square in the Old Town is one of the largest in the city. Adjacent to it include Cathedral and Episcopal Palace and the wing of the Benedictine Abbey. In the center is a sculpture by Stephan Balkenhol, depicting a golden ball and a man standing on it. From the square you can clearly see the Hohensalzburg fortress towering over the city.
