Neustift is a small town deep in the Stubai Valley, at the foot of the glacier of the same name. It is one of the best known year-round ski areas in Austria. The valley also offers mountain hiking and biking tours, as well as hang gliding and paragliding.
Elferspitze towers over Neustift with a height of 2505 m above sea level. There are several ski runs and lifts on its slopes, and the summit can be reached by a cable car all year round. There is also a viewing platform built in 2016 connected to a sundial and a starting point for paragliders. The highest peaks surrounding the Stubai Valley exceed a height of 3500 m above sea level, and around it there is a walking trail over 120 km long, which thanks to connecting routes can be overcome in stages.
The best ski area around Neustift is the Stubai Glacier. The season lasts here all year round, and the best riding conditions are between October and the end of May. The resort is equipped with catering facilities, equipment rentals, a snow park, ski schools and ski buses that provide connection to the entire valley. In Neustift itself, you can spend your free time not only in bars and restaurants, but also in indoor and outdoor pools, in spa centers as well as on playgrounds and tennis courts.
