Stubai Glacier

The "Stubai Glacier", also known as the "Snow Kingdom" is a ski resort located on five glaciers - Gaisskarferner, Daunkogelferner, Fernauferner, Schaufelferner and Windachferner. It is the largest glacier ski area in Austria and has over 1,400 ha of area. It consists of 35 ski runs of varying difficulty, ice climbing tower and 13 freeride routes.
The area of the resort is extremely popular at any time of the year - in winter it attracts above all winter sports enthusiasts and snowy landscape, while in the summer - high-alpine hiking trips.
The first queue at this resort was put into use by tourists as early as 1973. It stopped then about 300 m before the starting point of the route, so you had to walk this distance.
