Established in 1947, the museum is housed in a building that was originally dedicated entirely to the national hero Oso Kuka (1812 / 1820-1862). Currently, the museum presents both collections of fine arts (mainly paintings), ethnographic collections and collections showing Albanian industry and trade over the centuries.
