Stonehenge Visitor Centre

The Stonehenge Visitor Center is about 2.5 km from the Stonehenge stone circle. There are permanent and temporary exhibitions showing items excavated at the local archaeological site. The facility has collected about 300 exhibits from the Neolithic era, including jewelry, everyday items and even human remains. The museum is adjacent to the gallery, cafe and gift shop.

One of the interactive exhibitions allows you to virtually enter the Stonehenge circle and watch how it changes at different times of the day and year. The next exhibition presents the reconstruction of a man from 5.5 thousand years ago, made on the basis of bones excavated here. Thanks to the reconstruction of the neolithic village, you can also find out what everyday life was like 4,500 years ago. In addition to traditional exhibitions, among others striking flint, making rope or grinding grains.
