Triton and Dryads Fountain
The fountain is located in Regent's Park, one of the eight royal parks in London. It consists of three bronze sculptures: the figure of the god of the sea of Triton and two mermaids blowing towards the shell from which streams of water come out. The Triton Fountain was designed by William McMillan, also responsible for the fountain in Trafalgar Square.
Despite the size of Regent's Park, the fountain can be found easily, because it is located opposite the Jubilee Gate at the end of the main pedestrian street, which runs through the center of Queen Mary's Gardens. The Triton Fountain is located in a large conservatory with an area of over 1,700 square meters.
Interestingly, the fountain is dedicated to Zygmunt Goetzy, a popular English painter living on the outskirts of Regent's Park.
