London Zoo
Over 650 animal species live in the London Zoo, of which 112 are in the Red Book of Endangered Species. The garden was divided into several sections, including: Kingdom of gorillas, Butterfly Paradise, Giants of the Galapagos and Dragons of Komodo. For children, the Animal Adventure section was created with a playground and farms for domestic animals, such as sheep, goats and rabbits. From 2016, the catwalk for tigers rebuilt to resemble an Indian village attracts attention.
The London Zoo was opened in 1828, making it the third oldest zoo in the world, after Vienna and Paris. For the first twenty years it functioned as a scientific institution, it was opened to visitors only in 1847. In the following decades it was here that the world's first terrarium, public aquarium and insect pavilion were opened.
