Sherlock Holmes Museum
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a private institution dedicated to the famous detective, hero of stories and novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. There are exhibits devoted to Sherlock - his activities and adventures, as well as wax figures of himself and Dr. Watson. You can also see the recreated interior of the living room, laboratory or Victorian bathroom. There were also rooms of Dr. Watson and Mrs. Hudson.
The museum was opened in 1990. Located at the same address as Holmes's apartment, Baker Street 221B. The creators of the museum wanted it to also include a room dedicated to Doyle, but the writer's daughter did not agree. She was also against the creation of a museum in honor of Holmes and treating him as a living man, not just the figure created by her father.
