Abbey Road Zebra Crossing
Abbey Road is a street in the north west of London. It houses the studio of the EMI Abbey Road Studios group, in which they recorded their discs, among others The Beatles, Pink Floyd and U2. Right next to the studio building there is a pedestrian crossing, which was on the cover of the Beatles album "Abbey Road". You can see members of the band: George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and John Lennon, who are crossing the street in turn. In 2010, this transition was entered on the list of monuments in Great Britain.
The famous photo was taken on August 8, 1969 by Iain MacMillan. The photographer standing on the ladder immortalized the Beatles in several photographs. The current pedestrian crossing is located a few meters from the place where it existed in the sixties. An information sign was placed next to the passage. However, due to the fact that it was regularly destroyed or stolen, it is now mounted high on a building at the corner of Grove End Road and Abbey Road.
