Fashion and Textile Museum
The Fashion and Textile Museum located in London on Bermondsey Street is the only such facility in the United Kingdom focusing exclusively on showing development in contemporary fashion since 1947, as well as providing inspiration, support and training for people working in the industry.
The museum was founded in 2003 on the initiative of British designer Zandra Rhodes and is located in a former warehouse, specially adapted by the architect Ricardo Legorett. In addition to the exhibition space, a textile and printing studio and private rooms were created in the building. The building itself has become a tourist attraction thanks to the original, eye-catching colors. Inside, visitors will find exhibitions on the fashion industry, and all items in the collection relate to the design and production of fashion, textiles and jewelry, with many key clothes from key designers such as Christian Dior and Vivienne Westwood.
