Ravenscourt Park

Ravencourt Park is one of the most important London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham parks, winner of the Green Flag Award. There are pitches for public pitches, turf for bowls and a paddling pool for children. There are also two cafes here: The Tea House and W6 Cafe. The park is part of a protected area, and its northeastern corner has gained the status of an archaeological priority area (APA).

The park was officially opened in 1888. Just a year earlier, the area where it is located was bought by an investor to build worker housing. However, construction activities were suspended due to protests and the land became the property of the Metropolitan Board of Works. It was on her initiative that a park was created.

In the 12th century, there was a residence known as Palingswick or Paddenswick Manor in the current park. This name has been preserved to this day in the name of one of the nearby streets, Paddenswick Road.
