Holland Park
Holland Park is currently one of the richest corners in all of London. Its northern areas are partly covered with wild forest, while the central part consists of, among others Rose Garden, Orangery, Japanese Garden and Theater, in which operas are staged in the summer. On the south side, intended for sports fans, you can find cricket pitches and tennis courts. The park also has a set of giant chess.
There are numerous peacocks and squirrels in the park. Since 2010, pigs are also a curiosity, they were brought here to eat nettles in the park. Earlier, cattle grazed here for the same purpose.
In the nineteenth century, in the current park was built Jacobin residence, which was called Holland House. At the end of the same century, the owners sold part of their land for urban development. They were given the name Holland Park. As a result of war damage, Holland House has turned into ruin and remains in this state until today.
