The Surte Glasbruksmuseum is a glass museum showing the history of the local glassworks with the figure of one of its most famous employees - Alexander Samuelson. The seat of the museum is the oldest building in Surte. Tourists can visit the permanent exhibition, rest in the museum's cafe and shop in the local shop with original souvenirs.

The part of the exhibition devoted to Alexander Samuelsen shows his fate, work and successes in the industry. It is the Surte glazier that signed the patent for the first Coca-Cola bottle. He started his career in Sweden, he learned the trade at Surte Glasbruk. In the 1880s, he emigrated to the United States and started working in a steel plant in Terre Haute.

Glass production began in Surte Glasbruk as early as 1863, initially glass was first of all produced, with time the factory began to produce bottles and glassware for home use.
