Keillers Park

Local name: Keillers Park

Keillers Park was established in a romantic style in 1906. It covers an area of wooded Ramberget hill, 87 m high. It offers a view of almost all of Gothenburg. There are numerous walking paths, stone monuments and commemorative plaques in the park. There is a playground for children.

For centuries, Ramberget has had grazing land for animals raised by local farmers. In the 19th century, a significant number of trees were planted here, including the beech forest, which today is the main part of the park.

The name of the park comes from the name of James Keiller, who in 1906 donated the area to the city of Gothenburg. The park was designed by Eugen Thorburn, who was also responsible for the Kungsportsbron project in central Gothenburg.
