The Swedish parliament is located in the Gamla stan district, a historic part of Stockholm. Built in a neoclassical style by Aron Johansson, whose architectural design was chosen as the best for the new seat of parliament. Construction began in 1879 and lasted until 1905.
From the parliament building we can admire the panorama of Stockholm. During the tour, we will hear details about the organization of power in Sweden or carrying out legislative processes, but also learn more about the most important political buildings in the area. In one of the rooms there are miniatures depicting, among others Parliamentary Library. We can see monuments to prime ministers and other important politicians, as well as works of art, including the most popular: decorative fabric by Elisabeth Hasselberg-Olsson from 1983 entitled Memoirs of Summer.
