Soller is a relaxing and historic town in Mallorca, consisting of an inland part and a port surrounded by beaches. Both parts are connected by the historic tram in Soller, and the whole creates an ideal place for a peaceful rest.
The city and its surroundings are called the Orange Valley because of the ubiquitous orange orchards. The economy in this area is based mainly on the cultivation of these citrus fruits, which are known for their great taste. In addition, fruit orchards create a beautiful setting for the old Soller buildings.
The upper, inland part of the village has a nice, historic, mostly stone buildings. The Gothic Church of Sant Bartomeu rises at Plac Konstytucji. The attractions of this part of the city are also the Botanical Garden in Soller and the Museum of Natural Sciences of the Balearic Islands located within it. In turn, the Can Prunera Modernist Museum houses an exhibition of 19th and 20th century art.
The lower part of the city and the port are perfectly visible from the Mirador ses Barques viewpoint. A picturesque road full of bends leads to it. You can also get there by the historic tram in Soller. The beaches at Port de Soller are sandy, albeit quite narrow. The water here has an intense blue color, and the resort is relatively calm and quiet. On the rocky part of the coast you can see two lighthouses, the Capgros Lighthouse and the Sa Creu Lighthouse.
