Mutriku is a resort town on the Bay of Biscay. It is picturesquely situated on the slopes of a hill that slopes towards a naturally sheltered harbor. There are several sandy beaches in bays in the area.

The town was founded in the Middle Ages, but the area around it has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds. A large part of the buildings located on the Mutrik Port of the Old Town comes from the 16th and 17th centuries. There are city palaces, such as the Galdona Palace or Zabiel, the town hall and the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God.

The narrow and steep streets of the Old Town descend towards the port and the nearby Mutriku Beach. There are two sea swimming pools with a sunbathing area. You can also take a dip in the open sea. A little further away is the attractive sandy beach of Saturraran set at the foot of a steep wooded slope. There are bars and equipment rental, but you can also sunbathe on your own.
