St. parish church Teresa and Saint. Joseph is a Catholic temple belonging to the Carmelite order. It is inscribed on the Bien de interés cultural list of the Spanish national heritage. The architect of the building was Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz, who created an original, eclectic building, combining inspirations of the Middle Ages and many features of modernism. The facade of the church is decorated with a pattern reminiscent of tower battlements. One of the most important features of this temple is the amazing lighting. Extremely bright interior was achieved thanks to many rectangular openings made of colored glass.
The first stone for the construction of the church was placed on April 28, 1916, and work was completed in 1928. Currently, the monastery and church belong to the order of Discalced Carmelites. It is the seat of a religious house and a nursing home. The temple was an independent parish in 1965-2016. Currently belongs to the parish of San Marcos.
