The Queen Sophia Art Center has a large collection of Spanish paintings from the nineteenth century to the present, it includes about 18,000 exhibits. You can admire the work of such masters of contemporary painting as: Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró.
The collection was divided into three main sections: "Intrusion of the 20th Century: Utopias and Conflicts (1900-1945)," Is the war over? Art in a divided world (1945-1968) "and" From Rebellion to Postmodernism (1962-1982) ".
The museum was opened in the 1990s. Its headquarters is the building of the former eighteenth-century main hospital - Hospital General. It has its own library, it has found in a large collection of about 100,000 volumes, 3,500 sound documents and almost 1,000 visual documents.
