The Prado National Museum in Madrid is housed in a classical building, whose main designer was Juan Antonio de Villanueva. In it you can admire, among others the most outstanding works of Spanish painting, including the works of Diego Velázquez, Francisca Goya and Pablo Picasso.
Prado also gathered a large collection of Italian paintings, along with the works of such masters as Titian or Bassano, Flemish, represented, among others by Hieronim Bosch, French with paintings by Nicolas Poussin. The exhibition includes examples of German (paintings by Albrecht Dürer) and Dutch (works by Rembrandt).
In one part of the museum you can see Greek sculptures, including "Fauna and a Child" from the Pergamon school, Roman sculptures and examples of the work of sculptors from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The collection is complemented by graphics and drawings as well as a collection of artistic crafts.
