Zamość Cathedral Museum

Local name: Muzeum Sakralne Katedry Zamojskiej

Located inside: Zamość Cathedral

Zamość Cathedral Museum is located in the 16th-century house of Zamoyski deans, called Infułatka. Three halls present liturgical robes and vessels, reliquaries, coffin portraits from Zamość Cathedral, and also votive offerings from the church.

The museum was established in 1987 by the foundation Zamoyski Family. Its headquarters is a rectangular, one-story building covered with a hip roof. It's decorated with Renaissance portals. The collections are presented in three halls on the ground floor. They include the most valuable items from the cathedral treasury: the coronation alb of King Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki, richly decorated goblets and reliquaries, old prints, church documents, and portraits depicting protonotary apostolics and ordinates from the Zamoyski Family.
