The observation deck offers a sight on the exceptionally vast panorama of Bieszczady and the Low Beskids. Magura Łomniańska, Tarnica, Polonynas, Smerek, Łopiennik, Chryszczata, Tokarnia, and Kamień nad Jaśliskami can be admired from here. The detailed description of panorama can be read on the special board. The deck is situated in the place where picturesque road connecting Przemyśl and Sanok passes through the main ridge of the Słonne Mountains. The unique hairpin turns are located just below the viewpoint.
The Słonne Mountains are high, forested hills which stretch from the north-west to the south-east, from the San's gorge near Mrzygłód to the Wańkówka Valley. Their name comes from numerous local salty sources which were used for evaporating salt for ages. The highest peak is 668-meter Słonne which is crossed by red and yellow tourist tracks. Słonne Mountains Landscape Park was established here in 1992.Less
