The bison's farm in Wolisko is located in the Borecka Forest. At the Bison Breeding Center a viewing platform was set up, from which visitors can observe the feeding of animals at designated hours. Herd is about 90 pieces.
Bison now inhabiting the Borecka Forest was brought here in 1956. Because the bison population was already bred in the area in the 17th century, the staff of the Polish Academy of Sciences decided to reconstruct it, bringing new art into the farm in Wolisko.
In 1977 the animals chose freedom - during the renovation the whole herd fled to the forest where she lives to this day. Wild living bisons are very cautious animals, so despite their size, it is difficult to see them in their natural habitat. The viewing platform is the best place to look at these wonderful and unique animals.
