Pyramid in Rapa is an ancient tomb dating back to the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. He belonged to the Prussian Fahrenheit family who owned the village. It was designed like Egyptian pyramids. The tomb was occupied by seven members of the family. It was entered in the register of monuments.
Baron Friedrich von Fahrenheid, known for his love of ancient Egyptian art and architecture, invented the idea of building a pyramid-shaped tomb. The tombs had conditions similar to those in the original Egyptian buildings that favored mummification of bodies.
The tomb was devastated during the first and second world wars. Soldiers appeared in the area, and after the war also tourists broke into his interior, looking for hidden jewels in it.
In the 1990s, the tomb was restored and secured. Today you can not get into its interior - the entrance is walled. Tourists can watch them from outside through barred windows.
