The Museum of the Vistula is a temporary pavilion of the Museum of Modern Art. It is located in Powiśle, was designed by Adolf Krischanitz, a well-known Austrian architect. Its facade is covered by the painting composition of Sławomir Pawszak's 1600 m² project. Performed by Good Looking Studio artists.
According to the assumption, in the open spring of 2017, the Pavilion will hold exhibitions and accompanying events for the next three years. It is supposed to be a meeting place for modern art, prepared for residents and guests coming to the city.
In 2008-2010 the pavilion was a temporary seat of the Kunsthalle in Berlin. Today, the building has found its place on the Vistula River in Warsaw, courtesy of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary Foundation.
The pavilion was made available to the Warsaw museum free of charge. According to the foundation of Francesca von Habsburg's foundation, it aims to disseminate contemporary experimental art, including architecture.
