Europe's oldest museum devoted to the history of Polish sport. Its headquarters are the innovative Olympic Center. These exhibits are closely related to the sport equipment and achievements. The museum also has unique specimens, such as Olympic medals or kayaks, which was sailed by Karol Wojtyla himself.
The Museum of Sports has nearly 50 thousand. exhibits. First of all, these are trophies, awards, costumes and sports equipment. There is also a rich assortment of books, magazines, postcards, photographs and videos. The history of sport from ancient times is also presented, as well as profiles of the most famous athletes. . The exhibition covers 40 sports disciplines.
The Museum runs a wide range of educational activities, cooperates with many cultural institutions, publishes monographic and occasional publications.
