The facility is the only biographical museum dedicated to Maria Skłodowska-Curie, decorated at her place of birth. The seat of the Polish Chemical Society is also located here. The museum presents the personal belongings of the scholar and those related to science, like a model of her laboratory.
The museum is dedicated to the life of Maria-Skłodowska, her family and her scientific career. The exhibition presents authentic, private memorabilia of the scholar, such as clothes, a purse, a case for glasses, a cup or inkwell, as well as replicas of chemical equipment and laboratory vessels. A model of the laboratory was also built in which the scientist and her husband worked. Photos, notes, letters and documents constitute a large part of the collection. The photographs show family members as well as Maria Skłodowska's whole life. In addition, we will see sculptures and paintings documenting its activities for the development of chemistry and nuclear physics.
The museum organizes lessons and chemical shows as well as lectures.
