Squirrels

Local name: Wiewiórki

Located inside: Łazienki Park

Squirrels are one of the most attractive natural accents in the Royal Baths. These petite animals with long red tails are so accustomed to visiting visitors that they approach very close and even eat out of their hands. This is a special treat for young children.

The squirrels liked Lazienkowski Park and they feel very comfortable among the historic trees. At present there are about 200 of these animals in the park, but although they are friendly and reach for tasty morsels, they are not tamed, so it requires keeping distance. The most commonly eaten are hazelnuts, and their unique delicacy are pine shoots and cones.
