Market Square, Town Hall and Czesław Niemen Bench

Niemen's bench is a real attraction of Świebodzin. Outdoor sculpture located at the town hall on pl. John Paul II depicts an artist in a famous hat, occupying a bench on which stands the staff with notes. It's a great place to sit down for a moment with the singer.

The statue with the likeness of Czesław Niemen was unveiled in June 2009, and the author of the project and its contractor is Robert Sobociński. The character of the singer appeared on the Swabian market for good reason. The artist was associated with this town even in early adolescence, because here he grew up and worked as a piano tuner. Bench- monument is not only a tribute to a great artist, but also a reminder of his relationship with Swiebodzin.
