18th century historic palace in the style of an Italian villa. It is a unique place in terms of culture, because the great Polish composer Frederic Chopin stayed here. There is a European Art Center named after him. Chopin concerts are also held.
Sanniki is the seat of the largest museum dedicated to the composer. There are over 7,000 souvenirs from the artist. These include, among others, very valuable musical manuscripts, editions of his works, letters, personal items and song comments. Portraits of Chopin made during his lifetime are also very interesting. The cast of the composer's hand and a lock of his hair are unique. A great attraction of the Palace is the piano on which Chopin himself apparently played. The palace is surrounded by a landscape park where you can admire the monument of Frederic Chopin by Ludwika Nitschowa. The composer's presence in this place is commemorated by a marble plaque with the inscription "In this court lived Frederic Chopin in 1828", mounted by the owners of the palace.Less
