The Open-Air Museum of the Łowicz Land presents the architecture of Łowicz villages from the period between the 18th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The museum was established at the end of the 1970s. It not only presents various residential and agricultural buildings but also the examples of architectonic arrangements of villages - the older settlement in a form of Rundling, and the younger, linear settlement. The park also displays the collection of old rural wagons, and traditional equipment, workshops, and tools shown in the buildings. A visit to the museum gives an opportunity to learn about a work of papercutters, weavers, and embroiderers, and also to try it personally. The park contains reconstructed and original buildings as well. The oldest construction is the sacral complex from Wysokienice from the second half of the 18th century. Thanks to the location among nature, it's an ideal place for a journey to the past.Less
