The Museum in Łowicz is an institution which gives an overview of the history of the Łowicz region and the culture of "Księżaków". It is located in the Old Market Square in the building of the seminary. The history of museum collections dates back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum presents, among others. a rich collection of striped, multicolored clothes from the Lowlands.
Ethnographic exhibits various aspects of folk culture of the "Łowicz family". Ethnographic group of Polish population living in the area of historical hunting duchy. Available for visitors are models and photographs of the region's architecture, crafts, agricultural tools and decorative elements of the princely chambers.
The Ethnographic Museum of the Lowicz Museum also includes an open-air museum in Maurzyce. Cottage with 17th century farm buildings and a closed farm from the 19th century. In the open-air museum you can visit equipment and tools of agriculture and vehicles used in the farm of the "Ladies of the Duchess".
