Lubomirski Summer Palace

Local name: Letni Pałac Lubomirskich

Lubomirski Summer Palace dates back to 1690s. It was built in the place of old vineyard owned by Mikołaj Spytek Ligęza, bearer of Półkozic Coat of Arms. The Palace is built in a late baroque style with rococo elements. According to the claims, the palace was designed by Tylman van Gameren.

In the first half of the 18th century, the residence had been expanded - pond and an island with a zoo were added to the park. At that time, owner of the palace was Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski, while architect Karol Wiedemann was responsible for the expansion. The palace used to impress with garden with orangery and water pools.

Currently, Lubomirski Summer Palace is the headquarters of Regional Medical Chamber. Earlier, it was rented by the University of Rzeszów for the Institute of Arts and then for the Institute of Computer Science. The building has been thoroughly renovated.
