Lubomirski Palace

Local name: Pałac Lubomirskich

The impressive building, surrounded by a picturesque park, is now the seat of the rectorate of the State Higher School of East Europe. The building of the old granary was transformed into a modern library.

The palace was built in the 80s of the nineteenth century on the order of Prince Hieronim Adam Lubomirski, but due to lack of funds, the interior of the building has not been completed. The next person in the possession of the building was the daughter of the Prince - Karolina. At that time, the palace was severely damaged by fire and was not rebuilt. The last nominal owner - Jerzy Ignacy Lubomirski never really took possession of the property.

The building was constructed on a rectangular plan in eclectic style, combining neo-baroque, neo-gothic and neo-Roman elements. The building is adjoined with floodplains and towers, as well as the terrace and gloriette tower. There is a park around the palace and a pond with a round island in the middle.
