Goats, or a clownish device, decorated the town hall tower as early as the 16th century. Legend has it that the ceremony of unveiling the new clock in 1551 was to be baked deer leg, which burned. So the chef's helper brought two goats from a nearby meadow. However, they escaped from the kitchen and rushed to the clock tower. When the clock was unveiled, white goats showing their horns appeared to the eyes. In 1675, lightning struck the tower, destroying it with the clock and flips. They again began to strike 12 o'clock in 1913.
