Poznań Citadel Museum of Armaments

The museum is located in the remains of Fort Winiary, which was part of the Poznań Fortress. In its collections are the 19th and 20th century equipment of the Polish Army. Besides the exhibition inside the fort, which mainly includes weapons and uniforms, as well as photographs of Polish military units, there is an outdoor exhibition of military equipment - vehicles, guns, and aircraft. The museum participates in the historical reconstruction "Battle of Poznań 1945", and during the time of outdoor events it also provides visitors with the interiors of some vehicles.

The museum was created after World War II in the area of 19th-century Fort Winiary, part of the Poznań Fortress. It is placed in the building of a former artillery laboratory. Inside the fort there is an exhibition dedicated to the armament of the Polish army in the 19th and 20th centuries. There are presented the military items, photos, as well as films from battles and exercises.

There is an exhibition of military vehicles and guns outside. There are tanks, armored vehicles, airplanes, helicopters, cannons, and guns. Some of them are still operable, which can be looked over during the annual reconstruction of "The Battle of Poznań 1945".
