Museum of Applied Arts in Poznań is located in the Royal Castle – the oldest Royal seat in Poland. It owns a collection of various everyday items used from Middle Ages until today. Among others, handicraft products, textiles, furniture and jewellery are gathered here.

Poznań Royal Castle was established in 13th century during the reign of Przemysł I and Przemysł II. From the beginning of 18th century it was playing a role of a seat of a ruler and his officials. It was severely damaged during the Second World War. The last major restoration took place during years 2010-2013. Since 1965, Museum of Applied Arts is located there, which is also a part of the National Museum in Poznań.

The museum collection consists of various items used in everyday life from Middle ages until today. There are: furniture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, and among them: dresses, weaponry or clocks. They come from all over the world. Exposition is organized in chronological order and shows changes of usable items throughout history. The castle, after the last renovation, also made observation tower available to visitors.
