From the end of 2014 Kaiserpanorama is situated in the City Gallery "Arsenał" in the Old Market. It is used for presenting stereoscopic photos (pictures, that makes an impression of three dimensionality) that are placed thematically and one can watch them on a single visual location.
Kaiserpanorama is a polygonal device resembling the shape of a cylinder with mounted viewfinders to watch photos. Thanks to the shift mechanism, the pictures change every few seconds. Magic of the old device and old photos allow to penetrate the virtual past on a bigger scale, than with the help of 3D glasses.Kaiserpanorama appeared in the capitol of a Wielkopolska in 1923. It survived the Second World War, and after its ending it was bought by an artist Władysław Ruta. Exploited a lot, it stopped being suitable for exposition with time. After many years it was bought from the artist's son, restored and moved to the City Gallery "Arsenał" , where it plays its original role.Less
