Granary - ethnographic exposition

Local name: Spichlerz - ekspozycja etnograficzna

The building once contained an ethnographic collection warehouse and a place for temporary exhibitions. Currently, the renovated facility has three permanent exhibitions about Mazovia, oriental art and the works of Bolesław Biegas.

The first exhibition - "Culture of Mazovia" presents the folk culture of the people living in these areas. Ethnographic groups of the Mazovia region and their customs cultivated in these areas for centuries are presented here. At the second exhibition - "Bolesław Biegas, sculpture and painting" there are 57 works of art - sculptures made of plaster and bronze, paintings and fabric created according to the Biegas project.

Third exhibition - "Far East Art. Treasures of Buddhist Asia in Płock ”presents various oriental art objects. It consists of artistic crafts, both functional and decorative, military, painting, graphics, Buddhist sacred art, and coins. The collection of the Department of Ethnography includes, among others, a rich collection of sculptures, fabrics, folk cut-outs, and ceramics.
