The Gas Museum in Paczków is a dynamic exhibition, created at the former gas station. The subject of the exhibitions is gas architecture, production line and souvenirs related to the gas industry. Apart from the museum offer, the center also offers the possibility of organizing conferences, concerts and performances. There are also accommodation for tourists.
Paczkowskie Gazownictwa Museum, which opened in 1991, is the only place in Poland where gas mining machines have been preserved. The building has replaced Paczkowska Gas Station, which since 1901 provided gas to the inhabitants of the city. In 1977 the last trolley of coke, produced in Paczków, was extinguished. This trolley has become one of the elements of the exhibition and the symbol of the progress of the gas industry in Opole.
The Gas Museum is a modern exhibition rich in original exhibits. You can now enjoy the regularly-running gas meters, machines and burners. Since 2007, the Museum also houses an exhibition and convention center.
