Czartoryski Chapel

The Chapel of the Passion is located in the Basilica of the Franciscan Fathers in Cracow. From the 17th to 19th centuries it was used by the Archbishop of the Passion. In the chapel there is a sarcophagus of Blessed Angel Salawa. There is also a faithful copy of the Turin Shroud. During renovations in 2015, fragments of baroque polychrome were exposed on the walls.

The chapel was built in Baroque style. Covered with a vaulted ceiling with stucco decorations. During renovation in 2015 the walls were restored to the original pink color. The ivory has been colored.

On the walls of the chapel there are Stations of the Cross painted by Joseph Mehoffer. At the entrance and on the sidewall, fragments of seventeenth-century polychromes depicting the door were uncovered and the altar painted. Helena.
