Located on the Wooden Architecture Trail, the Gothic church of St. Nicholas in Domaradz is one of the oldest wooden temples in Poland. In its interior you can see, among others late gothic stone baptismal font, baroque pulpit and side altars, as well as nineteenth-century polychrome. On the outer wall of the presbytery there is a valuable wooden crucifix, and in the church belfry a 16th-century bell.
The legend says that the faithful neglected the temple that once existed in this area, which eventually sank into the ground. Still, the sound of bells calling for prayer from below the ground. It was decided to dig them out and take them to the nearest church. Oxen drawn to the cart stopped in Domaradz, and did not want to take a step further. Then a church was built here.
The church was probably built in the last quarter of the 15th century, and it was only consecrated in 1542. Over the years, it was transformed and expanded.
